Representation of people and groups

In our video we hope to relate to the song by representing females in a stereotypically male way, as we hope to show that females can be as promiscuous, and that it is not always men who cheat on their girlfriends. By challenging the conventions that males always ruin relationships and are not the victims it will give a new twist which will allow the audience to become engaged into the music video. We will be challenging this common convention, by focusing on the way the break up between this couple has occured. We will be challenging the hegnomy that all men are womenizers by switching the roles of our characters this will be done by presenting the girl character in our music vidoe as a 'flirt'.
Our other characters include the band, we will represent them as the archetypal 'rock stars' by dressing then in torn clothes with dark colours, also the hair style of the band is important as the view of rock bands is that they all have long hair, when it comes to the band we will be conforming to the generic conventions of the representation of the band.
